What’s the best part of life after 40?

The best part of life after forty is the quiet wisdom that comes from lived experience. I’ve stumbled, soared, and sat with uncertainty—and through it all, I’ve gathered the tools to move forward with both clarity and compassion. I no longer chase approval or rush decisions. I move with intention, aware of who I am and mindful of others. Life feels less like a race and more like a conversation—with myself, with the world, and with what truly matters.

What makes you feel fabulous?

I feel fabulous because I am able to inspire artists and educators to pour into the lives of children through the arts makes me feel fabulous. I really enjoy being the Network Arts Instructional Lead and having the ability to positively impact the lives of nearly 2,000 creative learners and educators. I also love being able to perform for audiences around the city of New Orleans and ensure my children experience a life of love and cultural exploration.

What would you do with $40,000?

With $40,000, I would use a large portion toward the purchase of a home with a backyard for my littles ones! I would also use some toward publishing a picture book I have in the works, help pay off my mom’s car, and take my children on an a nice Winter vacation.
