What’s the best part of life after 40?

Finally having the wisdom and strength to let go. To know it’s okay to live your life for yourself. To stop trying to please everybody. Stop trying to prove yourself to anyone or worrying about what everyone else thinks. We get so caught up in worrying what people think about us as a person, as a mom, as a spouse, as a colleauge…about what we wear, what car we drive, what perfume or handbag we have. We let what things people say and think consume us. No more.

What makes you feel fabulous?

The fact that I do what makes me happy. I don’t care about outside influence anymore. I know who I am as a person, judgment says more about someone else’s character than it does about mine. I will wear anything I want without concern what brand it is or what others think. I wear it for me, not to impress others. If it makes me feel beautiful and fabulous, that’s all that matters.

What would you do with $40,000?

I wish I could say something fabulous here that would make everybody go wow! But I’m just me. Honestly, I’d pay off my car, buy a second car, we only have one since I work from home. Stash 15k to replace our HVAC soon, and then I’d probably treat myself to some more VS leggings, Adidas, Skincare, and Jo Malone. My guilty pleasures. And of course, things for my husband, kids, and a big donation to All Hound Rescue of Florida, a non profit animal rescue I work with.
