What makes you feel fabulous?

What makes me feel fabulous? Creating beauty with purpose—whether it’s shaping new textiles, exploring the world, or inspiring others to reinvent themselves. I also enjoy volunteering with the national parks. There is a special feeling in preserving beautiful places as a steward, respecting native lands for all of us, as they were for 1000’s of years. I feel most alive when art, science, and soul intersect—and I can turn imagination into something that truly matters.

What would you do with $40,000?

I’d invest it in expanding my sustainable textile studio—advancing technology that turns waste-free design into wearable art. It would help put my engineering skills to inspire and help empower would be makers, especially women and LGBTQ to transform their ideas to the tangible, and use my own14 patents to support U.S. production in advanced technologies, and prove that innovation and beauty can thrive together—responsibly and fabulously.
