What’s the best part of life after 40?

After 40, I am finally feeling at peace with who I am. I've stopped rushing to meet everyone else's expectations and started honoring my own journey. As an immigrant from Haiti, every chapter of my life has taught resilience, determination, faith, and the importance of community. Now, in my 40s, I feel a deep sense of purpose in the work I do, helping vulnerable patients in behavioral health. I carry the lessons of my mother. Life after 40 is about gratitude and authenticity.

What makes you feel fabulous?

Being true to yourself, authentic.. I embrace positively all the changes and imperfections that come with that age, and I have a better understanding of myself. Being fabulous is not about the look , the age , shape... I know what I want out of life, I stop chasing perfection, and embracing " my peace" means starting to llive for me and not comparing myself with anyone. I have been through enough to know that hard times pass and joy can be found in the smallest moments.

What would you do with $40,000?

Winning 40.000 dollars will mean a lot,there is a lot more that I want to accomplish in life. I would invest in programs that support mental health awareness and access within the Haitian community and here. I've seen firsthand how sigma and lack of resources keep people from getting the help they need. I would honor my mother's sacrifices by helping her enjoy more comfort and security . Giving back to the people and the community that shaped me would be the greatest reward.
