Life after 40 has not been easy. When you are a mom, that becomes your identity. Your social life is focused around your kids, holidays, weekends, all around the kids. Then one day your kids don't need you in the same way- they become independent- and I had to come to terms with that and start this next chapter of my life. I had to become used to doing for myself. And then I was lucky enough to meet a man that brought me the love and partnership I thought I would never find.
Watching the people I love following their dreams has made me feel fabulous! All those 60 hr work weeks have paid off and helped financially assist with helping my kids start on their next chapters- one graduated college this year while the other high school. How could I not feel fabulous seeing them succeed like that?
I was lucky enough to be able to help my daughter avoid student loans while going to college. My financial situation is not the same today, so I would use that money to help my son on the same way. I would also help my daughter with her master's degree- the next step in obtaining her dream.
