What’s the best part of life after 40?

Learning new things like the ukulele and refinding my passion for latin dance. Life after 40 has new rules - physically, mentally, and emotionally. I love to take time to reflect where I came from, the abundance I have been given and how can I pass these gifts on to other young women. I see a new degree of beauty both in myself and in the world around me. I am always learning to let go and to be present with the small things that matter the most.

What makes you feel fabulous?

Feeling fabulous is about more than what I wear or working out every day, it’s how I show up. I feel fabulous by encouraging others and sharing the love I have been given. Showing gratitude for where I have coming from and the journey I am currently on. I feel fabulous when I salsa dance and when I cook an amazing meal. Its sharing my passion with the world! It’s when I pause to love and be proud of myself — not for being perfect, but for continuing to bloom.

What would you do with $40,000?

I’d invest it in growth for myself and for others. I’d pour it into finishing the book I have been writing about growing up in foster care. I’d give back to the community that’s supported me, and mentor other foster kids with career skills and help them reach their goals. Because to me, $40,000 isn’t just money - it’s possibility, purpose, and proof that faith and hard word doors can open.
