What’s the best part of life after 40?

I have always followed my heart. At age 67 following my heart has taken on a new meaning. Now I feel free...free from my own self doubt and concern for how things look, for how I look, for what others may think. This doesn't mean I stopped caring about my appearance or health. Now it's all about how I feel. I trust the timing and events of my life and don't let anything take my joy, my heart, or my passion and love away. The moments now when I doubt...they are fleeting.

What makes you feel fabulous?

Helping other women. I became a medical esthetician after my daughter Bergen passed away. She was hit by a car while riding her bicycle-she was 15. I was lost. I had to learn to take care of myself in a much deeper and different way. Supporting other women to feel beautiful inside and out by nurturing their bodies, hearts and minds, so that they love the skin they are in while becoming the best they can be…this has been a most rewarding way to keep me feeling fabulous.

What would you do with $40,000?

I'd establish an educational trust fund for my granddaughter Zoe, make a gift to Mothers Against Drunk Driving in loving memory of my daughter Bergen, and continue finding small, meaningful ways to lift someone's spirits or make their day brighter.
