What’s the best part of life after 40?

Grown children who still call for advice. Hearing their voice say “Mom” in that tone only a mother knows and being able to watch them grow into incredibly kind, successful empathetic adults. A group of grandchildren large enough to have our own football team who love their g-ma and will still play in the backyard with me. Being able to travel with my partner and experience new cultures, people and food!

What makes you feel fabulous?

Great fitting jeans, an ice cold beer, time with people I love who love and respect me back and the realization that what I do everyday makes the world a little safer for those around me. ❤️ I realize as a grown woman I am a safe person and grew up to be exactly what I needed when I was little. I will be that for every person in my orbit for all of my days.

What would you do with $40,000?

Whew! I’d breathe a little life into a bucket list trip to Fiji or Belize for something fun and adventurous including a hot air balloon ride and surf lessons which I’ve always wanted to do and pay a bill or two for something realistic. There will money earmarked for a local organization, that donation will go to survivors of childhood violence, to support their healing journey, as a survivor I cannot stress enough how imperative it is to get that therapy.
