Life after 40 is about embracing change - enjoying the journey of aging with my husband and watching our children become the adults we raised them to be. With experience comes self-acceptance and it's so liberating to release the pressure of perfectionism and simply live in the moment!
Recently, I've discovered my passion for community service and it has given my life a new spark. Helping women and children to better their lives fills a void for me and helps me personally keep innovating and putting my leadership skills to good use. My hopes are to create a ripple effect that inspires the next generation to pay it forward.
If I was awarded $40,000, my first priority would be to pay down my student loan debt to alleviate that burden from my family. I plan to donate to my sisterhood league as a token of my appreciation for all their generous support. For future use, I'd invest the rest for retirement.
