What’s the best part of life after 40?

The best part is the ability to filter out people & opinions that do not contribute to my wellbeing! I celebrate my journey from humble beginnings to a TV career to now serving my community in tourism marketing. I am grateful for my mother’s & grandmother’s sacrifices. I take nothing for granted and use my opportunities to help others. My life has been affected by cancer and suicide. I barely survived childbirth, I know everyday is a blessing. Community helps us get through tough times.

What makes you feel fabulous?

A great night’s sleep, a beautiful sunrise, and time spent giving back to the world! Spending time laughing with my dear friends & family is the perfect night out! When I serve others, I get so much more back. Watching my daughter grow up and shine in her own lane. It’s a blessing to be a blessing always.

What would you do with $40,000?

Invest in helping others. I want to continue to inspire young people that come from humble beginnings to aspire to be their best selves despite their circumstances. Financial literacy is very important. So whether it’s scholarships, life coaching, speaking and continued mentorship. This blessing would help me do more of the great work I get the opportunity to do in my community. Service is the rent you pay for being on this earth 🌍 Let’s make the world a nicer, more helpful place.
