The best part of life after 40 so far (I'm two years in) is...I've really started to think about what I want for my life. I am always a mom, but since my daughter has gone to college and I'm by myself for the first time, I feel like I'm 18 all over again. New city? New career? New home? New car? Passport? First international trip? The possibilities are endless!
I feel fabulous when I can be myself, no matter the situation or circumstances. As I get older, I become more and more comfortable in my skin, more confident, and care less and less about what other people think about me. It's such a freeing and fabulous feeling!
$40K? I would be able to finally move into a bigger place, purchase a reliable car, and invest in my retirement. I would also help my daughter with her college education (she wants to be a dentist). Maybe even take some time off to travel. These may seem like normal, everyday things, but $40K would really help put me on the path to having a less stressful and challenging future. Money has always been a huge barrier in my life; I'm looking forward to finally enjoying it instead of just surviving.
