My first 40 years taught me so much. I went through more then most can imagine but I refuse to let it define me. Like a phoenix I have risen through the ashes and my next chapters in life are just beginning!
I'm a Sailor, Before that I was a Pediatric Homecare Nurse, Psychiatric Nurse,& a Plastic Surgery Nurse. I continue my passion to serve others as an EMT. What makes me feel fabulous is making a difference in the lives of others. I also want to share my story and help other women survive and thrive after domestic violence!
Going from Active to Reserves has been a major adjustment & being an EMT barely pays min. wage,I'd catch up debt & start my bus! My dream is to teach CPR and other life-saving courses & Active shooter response. I've dev. a curriculum for as young as preschool & its my passion to teach people how to save lives! I want to start a nonprofit to teach this to schools and daycares free of charge and an org. to help DV survivors! Winning this will help with business start-up fees & equip.& donations.
