Life begins after 40! In my 20's I was focused on every girl's dream; love life, starting a family and choosing a career. My 30's were spent being of service to others, spouse, children, extended family and church. I blossomed in my 40's achieving more personally than in any other decade. I am a published author, performing poet, artist and fashion designer. I have supported organization caring for vulnerable populations and causes that focus on bringing our multicultural communities together.
My ability to positively affect anyone I connect to thorough my poetry, fashion and writing workshops. I love creating! Whether it is turning heads wearing my own fashion or creating a fit that makes my model or clients feel phenomenal.
I would use the $40,000 to support the individuals and organizations that have support my evolution from shy single mother to vibrant independent creative. A loved one who is battling breast cancer, organizations and individuals who serve vulnerable communities (disabled - The Hive Inclusive Community, homeless - Greg Cruz) I would also use a portion to continue the writing workshops I have created to foster community connection through art and poetry.
